Introduction

Presented in reverse chronology, this history stretches from the present back to the Fellowship's 1970 founding, and beyond.
(See "Blog Archive" in the sidebar below.) It draws from many sources, including The Fellowship of Friends - Living Presence Discussion, the Internet Archive, the former Fellowship of Friends wiki project, cult education and awareness sites, news archives, and from the editor's own 13-year experience in the Fellowship.

The portrait that emerges stands in stark contrast to sanitized versions presented on the Fellowship's array of
alluring websites, and on derivative sites created by Burton's now-estranged
disciple, Asaf Braverman.

Though shalt not laugh

[ed. - It can't get much more bizarre than this. Or can it?]

Subject: [Students] Message from the Teacher: When taking photos...

Dear Friends,

The Teacher requests that when a picture is being taken of us, we should try to be moderate in our smile and not show our teeth. Robert points out that the instinctive center, being animal intelligence in human form, likes to display its teeth.

The poster below illustrates the point.

In friendship,

Linda Tulisso, Isis

  1. I wonder if they are watching one of the recent meetings Robert led (2016 Sept 5,9 & 11) where he talked openly and extensively about his recent visitation by the "Absolute."

  2. That September 2016 revelation sounds like the perfect bookend to Burton's recalling of his March 19, 1976 "Crystallization," just over 40 years ago. Then, as now, there were no witnesses, just Burton describing his make-believe world. - ed.
